Just after 11am on Tuesday 27th April, one of the duck eggs in the Junior incubator hatched after a very lengthy battle fighting its way out of the egg. He (or she!) has been busy sleeping for the past half an hour to recuperate. Duck eggs take 28 days to hatch and the children have candled the eggs over this period to observe changes to the embryo inside. You can imaging the excitement and buzz in schools at the moment! What a delight!
