Aim High, Work Hard, Dream Big

It is a privilege to welcome you to the website for our schools. The Parkland Federation is a close partnership between Parkland Infant School and Parkland Junior School.  Teachers and support staff are proud to deliver an outstanding education - One where we hope to ignite imaginations and inspire our young learners. We have an incredible environment, both inside and outside and utilise this wonderful space when planning our teaching sessions.

Both schools are Ofsted rated ‘good',  with high standards, high expectations, a nurturing ethos and warm, positive support for our learners. Our motto 'Aim high, work hard, dream BIG' radiates from every classroom.

The results achieved by our pupils always bears testament to the hard work of our learners, teachers and parents. Our reading, writing and maths results are in line with or above national averages, which is something to be incredibly proud of.

A central theme of our work is exceptional expectations in everything that we do. Insisting on the highest standards of behaviour, respect and etiquette has a very direct link to pupils' achievement, attitude to learning and future life chances. We also do everything we can to promote optimum physical health and emotional wellbeing for our school community.

I very much look forward to working with you to ensure your children  make rapid progress, develop a lifelong love of learning and have inspiring experiences that will ensure they remember their time with us for many years to come

Parkland Infant and Junior Schools (The Parkland Federation) academised in September 2017 with Swale Academies Trust, alongside Shinewater Primary School and Langney Primary Academy.

Parkland Infant and Junior Schools continue to go from strength to strength. The schools have high expectations for pupils, which are encapsulated in the school's motto 'Aim High, Work Hard, Dream BIG.'

As part of a strong network, the Parkland Schools benefit from regular  investment as well as teamwork to ensure curriculum and teaching initiatives are at the forefront when planning.  The learning environment boasts exceptional facilities including a state-of-the art Computing Suite and access to specialist teaching in digital education.

Our caring ethos is enhanced by our outstanding in-house pastoral team which includes our own Family Liaison Officer, School Counsellor, Art Therapist, Play Therapist and Thrive practitioners.

Staff and pupils work collaboratively across all of our Swale primaries. If you were to visit any of our primary schools you will see parallel standards and approaches to teaching.

We work closely with our local Swale Secondary schools (The Eastbourne Academy and The Turing School) to ensure seamless transition and a progressive curriculum from Reception to Year 11. Alongside our secondary colleagues, we offer a unique Swale Scholars Programme for our most able students.

We are very proud to be one of the highest attaining schools in Eastbourne for end of Primary School Attainment.  I invite you to visit our schools and website to learn about our aspirational curriculum and very happy school.
